Officially named the Adama Traore “ToroS”, the boots are built on an unmasked pair of the latest Nike Mercurial Vapor 14. Every element of the design carries meaning.
“Beast” Text and Raging Bulls
Traore is known for his incredible power and strength on the pitch. The custom artwork highlights this with a large hand-drawn “Beast” text on the instep, while a pair of raging bulls appear on the outside of each boot.
Long-Term Match Wear
Unlike single-wear customs, the “ToroS” boots were created to last through EURO2020 (Traore was in the Spain squad) and into the current 20/21 Premier League season. Although Traore had been seen wearing them earlier, they gained fresh attention during the Brentford game this past weekend.
Dribbling Dominance
Traore has completed 49 dribbles in the Premier League’s opening five games. To put that into context, only 26 players managed more than that in the whole of the previous season.
