Design and Heritage
The Trefoil logo returns for a second consecutive season on Liverpool’s third shirt, following its triumphant reappearance on last season’s design. The motif carries a cultural legacy that spans football and fashion. For Liverpool, the Trefoil’s presence is especially notable—it last appeared on a Reds shirt 34 years ago, during the 1990/91 season. Its comeback on the 2025/26 third kit creates a direct visual link between today’s squad and the identity forged in that golden era.

Colourway and Crest
The jersey arrives in a bold Sea Green palette, drawing inspiration from classic adidas x LFC kits of the 1990s and early 2000s, with strong adidas EQT vibes. The design incorporates the club’s 1987–1992 crest, delivering a look that is steeped in nostalgia yet feels entirely fresh.
Speaking on the release, Juergen Rank, Senior Design Director at adidas, explained: “With this Third Kit, we wanted to create something that speaks to Liverpool’s incredible heritage while feeling distinctly modern. The return of the Trefoil for the first time in over three decades is a special moment, and when paired with the iconic crest from 1987–1992, the design becomes a true celebration of history. Combined with the Sea Green colourway, which draws inspiration from some of the most memorable LFC adidas kits, we’ve created a look that feels both nostalgic and bold, perfect for the pitch and the terraces.”

Beyond the shirt, the release expands into a complete lifestyle-meets-performance range. European Training Wear is designed for the pitch, while Terrace Icons Culture Wear is made for the streets. The collection also includes an LFC Gazelle—a reworking of the timeless adidas silhouette in club-inspired hues—rounding out a drop that balances sport and style.
