First introduced at the turn of the century, the F50 nameplate has always stood for disruptive lightweight design and cutting-edge technology. The 2024 version brings an ultra-technological boot built for the fastest players, with a completely new construction that sets it apart from recent adidas X models.
Upper Construction and Materials
Sprintweb and Fibertouch Upper
The upper is crafted from a braided thread material called Sprintweb and Fibertouch. This texture creates a soft yet grippy surface, reminiscent of the Speedflow series. The boot is available in two distinct versions: one with laces and one without.
Laced Version
The laced variant features an internal mesh that adapts to the foot, offering the fit of an all-in-one boot while maintaining an open-tongue feel. This design accommodates wide feet comfortably.
Laceless Version
The laceless version uses a Primeknit fit similar to other recent adidas boots, again closely matching the Speedflow line for an exceptional, sock-like fit.
Touch and Grip
The touch is very responsive, with a noticeable grip layer on the upper. It is less pronounced than on the Predator, but still offers a clear tactile feel.
Sole Plate: Sprint Frame 360
A key update is the new sole plate called Sprint Frame 360. The stud distribution and design have been reworked compared to recent adidas boots.

Weighing approximately 180 grams, the new adidas F50 is lightweight yet offers strong touch, fit, and the latest technological advancements from the brand. It is a significant improvement over the last generations of adidas speed boots.
The first limited edition features a classic chameleon colourway that recalls the iconic adizero worn by Leo Messi. Additional colours and features are expected to follow. The F50 is poised to make a major impact at the Euro Cup and Copa America.
