First Impressions and Design
The most noticeable feature is the laceless construction. Instead of laces, a stretch fabric material overlaps in dark blue on top of the boot. The outside color design uses lines of light green and dark blue that overlap each other, giving a brushed, random paint-like appearance. On the side, “NEMEZIZ” and the adidas logo are printed in black.
How Do They Fit?
The boots slip on easily, which is a welcome feature. From the heel to the mid part of the boot, including the laceless area, the fit felt good. However, these boots are designed for a narrower foot. With a wider foot, the toe area felt a little uncomfortable. The boots are quite tight overall, so when striking the ball, it tended to go flying in the air.
Touch and Control on the Ball
Controlling the ball felt straightforward – the boot allowed the player to make the ball stop right on the foot. The outer surface has an odd feel: not smooth but also not too rough. This made dribbling and kicking while running easy, and the ball did not stray too far. The space from the top (where laces would be) to the bottom (where the studs are) is tight as well.
Comparison With Other Boots
Compared to other boots, the Nemeziz 19.3 laceless felt quite tight. Striking the ball hard is a positive, but the fit would work better for a narrower foot or if there were more room inside. For reference, the Nike Superfly 7 JNR offers more space in the front of the boot around the toes, which was more comfortable for this tester.
