Since its launch in 1994, the adidas Predator silo has been defined by constant technological evolution aimed at improving ball contact. The latest chapter in this legacy is the adidas Predator Accuracy football boots, the nineteenth generation of the range, which build on the foundation laid by the Predator Edge.
Upper and Materials
The upper of the new Predator Accuracy is made from Hybrid Touch, a synthetic compound previously used in other adidas football boots. This material is designed to maximise comfort for players trying the latest generation of the Predator silo.
High Definition Grip – The New Predator Element
Central to the Predator concept is the technology that enhances ball striking and kicking comfort. In the Predator Accuracy, adidas calls this system High Definition Grip, which features two distinct densities:
- Kicking Zone – Located on the inside of the boot to improve kicking accuracy and power.
- Dribbling Zone – Positioned on the outside with a lower density to increase grip during dribbling.
Ankle Support and Construction
The ankle area uses Primeknit, an elastic material that has been part of the Predator line since its return in 2018. This provides greater support, added comfort, and easier entry into the boot. The .1 version of the Predator Accuracy will come with laces and a low-cut collar, where the Primeknit is significantly reduced to free up the ankle area.
Soleplate – FACETFRAME
The only element carried over directly from the Predator Edge is the soleplate. The new Predator Accuracy retains the FACETFRAME soleplate, meaning adidas has not yet introduced a new outsole design for its flagship silo.
