adidas has launched its first-ever artist collaboration on the Predator silo, created with Reuben Dangoor. The adidas Predator “Art” Artist pack includes limited edition FG boots and two pairs of sneakers, featuring a distinctive set of colorful lines that carry an important message.
Design Inspiration
The design puts a creative twist on the signature three stripes. According to Reuben Dangoor, the concept reflects how sport can bring people together, celebrating diversity, inclusion, and respect. Hand gestures at the ends of the stripes symbolize unity and appreciation for one another.
From a distance, the design appears as an array of colored lights beaming across the upper and soleplate. In reality, those lines are elongated arms, producing a wild, vibrant, and imaginative aesthetic that complements the Predator and its values.
Performance Features
The boots retain all performance benefits of the Predator 20+ silo. The forefoot features 406 spikes, and DEMONSKIN technology is included to enhance control. The Predator 20 Mutator has been designed for maximum movement.
A new outsole improves control zones, while high-performance polyamide-injected layers help stabilize movement. Underfoot, the footbed uses a split-plate design and stud configuration that reduces weight, allowing a 360-degree construction where the upper material wraps under the foot. This design, combined with the Sockfit collar that locks down and adapts to the unique contours of the wearer’s foot, ensures an anatomical fit for added support.
