adidas Showdown Pack: Red and Gold Football Boots for the Women’s EURO

As the domestic leagues wind down, the focus shifts to this summer’s headline tournament: the Women’s EURO, hosted by the United Kingdom. Adidas has unveiled the Showdown Pack, a collection that will be worn during the final league matches and throughout the championship – though only by a select group of players chosen by the brand.

The Showdown Pack concentrates on adidas’ two synthetic silos, leaving aside the Copa Sense model. Both boots share a common red colour theme, which is most prominent on the X silhouette but also plays a key role in the design of the Predator Edge.

adidas X Speedflow: Bold Red with Black and Gold Accents

The most minimalist silo from the German brand is almost entirely red. Black covers the central area of the boot, starting at the heel and travelling through the ankle and instep before ending at the toe. Gold appears on the iconic three stripes, inside the boot as fine lines, and most notably on the outer heel counter and the soleplate. The chrome-like gold finish on the sole highlights adidas’ reputation for aesthetically strong soles.

adidas Predator Edge: White, Red and Black – A Nod to the Past

The Predator Edge takes on a white base, a colour that has always suited the model well. Combined with red and black, the colourway evokes memories of the classic Predator Mania Champagne boots. Some may find the use of black in the Primeknit area less appealing, but that remains a matter of personal taste.

Red gives the three stripes a different finish and adds prominence to the ribs – a key functional feature of the Predator Edge. For this collection, adidas has limited production to three high-end versions: the +, .1 and .1 Low.
