The German brand introduced a mix of different panel types with a new build, sealing panels together to eliminate seams and create a more spherical surface. The result was a cleaner ball that, like the later Jabulani, could produce unpredictable movement in flight.
Now, in 2025, adidas has released a remake of that iconic ball. While it is not an exact replica – the original factories have closed and materials have evolved slightly over the years – this version is a near one-to-one recreation. It brings back the same lively, surprising sensation when struck, offering a spectacular throwback to the 2006 tournament.
Matching Predator Boots
Alongside the ball, adidas has created a pair of Predator boots that share the +Teamgeist design language. The colour palette of the ball is referenced across the boot, with vivid details on the sides, the tongue, and the sole.
Technically, the boots remain unchanged. The upper is built with Hybridtouch, offering a smooth and grippy feel, while the Predator elements on the side enhance ball control.
The pack includes the Predator Elite FT FG +Teamgeist in a White-Core Black-Gold Met colourway.
The accompanying ball is the Teamgeist OG in White-Black-Gold Metal.
Both the ball and the boots capture the essence of Germany 2006, delivering a faithful tribute to one of football’s most memorable World Cup designs.
