What Is DEMONSKIN?
DEMONSKIN is a breakthrough technology from adidas, featuring a textured spike layer on the Predator 20 Mutator upper. Developed through years of data-based research and testing, the spikes are the result of a computer algorithm that created an entirely new interface between boot and ball. These spikes are deliberately placed on the front and side of the boot, aligning with key contact points to deliver enhanced control, improved touch, and increased spin when striking.
Design Inspired by Nature
The Predator has always drawn inspiration from nature’s most dangerous creatures, symbolizing the powerful and dynamic qualities the boot instills in the wearer. The Predator 20 Mutator takes this further, reimagining the iconic silhouette with a striking design mutation. The boot features a high collar paired with a low-cut front, creating a sharp, streamlined appearance.
Engineered for Maximum Movement
Every element of the Predator 20 Mutator is built for movement. The outsole incorporates new control zones, while high-performance polyamide-injected layers stabilize motion underfoot. A split-plate footbed and stud configuration reduce weight, and the upper material wraps under the foot for a 360‑degree design. The Sockfit collar locks down and adapts to the unique contours of the wearer’s foot, ensuring an anatomical fit and added support. Hybrid studs further enhance rotation and traction.
