adidas has been releasing standout special editions for Leo Messi, from his Copa América boots to the World Cup-winning pair in Qatar. Now, for the Argentine star’s 35th birthday, the brand unveils a unique design on the adidas X Speedportal.1 that blends memories of his most iconic past models.
Design and Inspiration
The M35si edition is a visual mashup of several legendary Messi boots. Blue wave patterns recall the adidas F50.6, while side graphics are borrowed from the Mirosar10. Colour accents echo the Messi 15.1, and the shiny speckles reference the Messi 370. The silver adidas stripes strongly resemble those on the Messi 16 Spacedust, which made a big impact at launch. The result is a boot that pairs perfectly with Paris Saint-Germain’s home kit.
Technical Features
As usual for Messi, this version uses the laced X Speedportal.1 construction. The Primeknit upper is extremely comfortable and now includes additional grip elements on the inner and forefoot area, improving touch at top speed.
