Nike has unveiled Alexia Putellas’ debut signature boot, a Player Edition Phantom 6 that pays tribute to the Barcelona and Spain star’s legacy. Designed around her left-footed artistry and the number 11, the release marks the first women’s Player Edition within the Phantom line.
The Story Behind the Number 11
Putellas’ connection to the number 11 began in childhood. Watching Rivaldo play for Barcelona at Camp Nou, she admired the Brazilian lefty who wore that shirt. “When I started watching Barça, I remember 11 was Rivaldo — a lefty,” Putellas said. “I fell in love with that number. Everyone wants number 10, but 11 is special. When someone watches 11, I want them to think of Alexia.”
That sentiment drives the boot’s core theme, “More Than 11,” which appears across the upper, outsole, sock liner, and lace tips. Eleven elevens form a repeating monogram pattern that merges football tradition with a modern personal identity.
New Personal Logo: A Crown for La Reina
For the first time, Putellas’ own logo takes center stage. Two mirrored 11s combine with a sculpted “A” to create a subtle crown shape. The design nods to her name, her number, and the nickname she has earned through dominance: La Reina (The Queen).
Design and Colourway
The Phantom 6 Putellas Edition uses a palette that reflects her playing style. Radiant reds convey power, movement, and creative instinct. Black tones run through the upper, anchoring the look with quiet confidence and control. Light metallic accents add a premium sheen, while glitter elements catch stadium lights. Layered graphics create depth and motion across the boot’s surface.
“Growing up in Spain, I could only watch men playing football,” Putellas said. “I never dreamed about playing at Camp Nou or having my own Nike boot. This is crazy, but I’m enjoying the process.”
