BSC Young Boys have unveiled their 25/26 third shirt, a Nike design created in collaboration with Munich-based studio Bureau Borsche. The kit draws inspiration from the city of Bern’s deep connection to water — from underground streams and the turquoise Aare river to more than 100 ornate public fountains in the UNESCO-listed old town. The shirt celebrates these historic meeting points as symbols of freedom and cohesion, translating them into modern football design.
Design Inspiration: Bern’s Fountains and Waterways
The shirt’s fresh apricot base nods to Bern’s cultural diversity and mirrors the warm tones of the city’s historic limestone fountains. Accents of red and gold — borrowed from the garments and armour worn by the fountain figures — frame the shirt in bold, regal detail. Fine graphic lines ripple subtly across the fabric, echoing the stone carvings that have stood for generations. Red-gold cuffs add a sharp finish, with matching white stars on the shorts referencing the patterned trousers of those same storied figures.

Color Palette and Details
The apricot base is a deliberate departure from conventional kits, while the red and gold accents provide a regal contrast. The textured fabric lines evoke the carved stone of Bern’s fountains, and the red-gold cuffs complete the look. Stars on the shorts tie the design back to the fountain figures’ attire.

Custom Crest Symbolism
At the centre of the kit is a bespoke crest crafted by Bureau Borsche: eleven fountains distilled into one unified emblem. This connects the eleven figures, the eleven stories, and the eleven players who take the pitch for Young Boys. Each fountain tells a chapter in Bern’s history, but together they form a singular identity.

A Wearable Landmark
The BSC Young Boys 25/26 third shirt is described as a wearable landmark — a contemporary design piece rooted in centuries-old tradition. For players, it represents armour; for fans, a statement of belonging. The kit flows with the city’s history and, like the fountains it celebrates, is built to stand the test of time.
