The connection between Cruzeiro Esporte Clube and the state of Minas Gerais runs deep, and the club’s latest third kit for the 2025/26 season draws inspiration from a natural landmark that embodies that bond: the São Francisco River. Also known as “Velho Chico,” the river flows through the heart of Minas Gerais, and its spirit is woven into the design of the new jersey.
Design Inspired by the River’s Journey
The shirt features a gradient of blue tones, moving from deep navy to light sky blue. This transition mirrors the changing hues of the São Francisco River along its 2,800-kilometer course to the Atlantic Ocean. Subtle graphic patterns spread across the fabric, suggesting the movement and rhythm of flowing water.
Gold accents add contrast. The adidas three stripes and the club crest appear in a metallic finish that evokes sunlight reflecting off the river’s surface. Two side stripes run down the torso, and the full kit is completed with matching blue shorts and socks for a unified look.

Launch Campaign Features Players from Both Squads
