FC Augsburg Unveil Bold ‘Swabia Kit’ for the 2025/26 Bundesliga Season

FC Augsburg and kit manufacturer Mizuno have revealed the club’s new away jersey for the 2025/26 campaign. Dubbed the ‘Swabia Kit’, the design pays homage to the Bavarian Swabia region, blending local heritage with a bold red aesthetic. The launch celebrates Swabia’s natural beauty and cultural identity, creating a distinctive look for the Bundesliga side.

Design and Inspiration

The away shirt carries the motto “Swabia is more than just a region – Swabia is a feeling”. Its colour palette draws directly from the Swabian flag: a strong red base is accented with yellow on the collar and cuffs, mirroring the Swabian coat of arms. A jacquard-style pattern adds a tactile, textured finish to the simple red foundation, while abstract design cues subtly reference Swabian heritage symbols. The Swabian coat of arms itself is proudly stamped on the back of the collar.

Launch Campaign

To bring the region’s spirit to life, FC Augsburg produced a cinematic campaign video. Filmed across iconic Swabian locations — from the city of Augsburg to the serene Hegratsrieder Lake — the video follows a young couple exploring the landscapes. The storytelling evokes a sense of nostalgia and home, romanticising the shirt’s connection to the area.
