Since 17 October, Futbol Emotion Academy has been running the ‘El Rey del Patio’ (King of the Playground) initiative, introducing primary and secondary school pupils in Zaragoza and the surrounding area to the street football skill game of panna.
Schools Participating in the Initiative
The first schools to take part include IES Virgen del Pilar, Colegio Sagrada Familia, La Salle Gran Vía, Colegio San Miguel de Casetas, and La Salle Franciscanas. Nearly 1,500 children have already tried panna during their break times.
How the Initiative Works
Schools can choose to use panna either for fun or in a competitive format. In the competitive version, participants compete to be crowned their school’s “King of the Playground” and earn a place in the final stage, where winners from each school gather to compete for the overall title.
