New adidas SpeedFlow Football Boots
With this launch and adidas’s ongoing reorganisation of the players who will wear the model in the coming months, the German brand is clearly restructuring its football boot lineup. Nothing has been officially confirmed, and fans will have to wait until the official launch of the new collection later this month.
Design
This new generation features a completely revamped design that immediately distances itself from the previous, less popular adidas X Ghosted.
For the launch of this generation, adidas has chosen a Red / Black / Solar Red colourway, giving João Félix’s boots a bold and innovative look. The boots also feature electric yellow on the interior.
Technical Features
A first look at the adidas X SpeedFlow reveals a major update around the collar and ankle area.
The most obvious change is the new design around the ankle and tongue, which are now higher. This provides a more secure fit and better lockdown.
The upper innovations continue with adidas Primeknit, a top‑quality material that adds extra comfort for any player.
Primeknit is complemented by a textile material that helps players switching from the previous generation notice the difference in fit and comfort immediately.
The fit is further improved by a Stabilising Agility Cage, which works better than the Vacuum Fit Experience, along with an internal TPU cage that prevents internal roll‑over inside the boot.
Both the Professional + and .1 versions feature the same Carbitex carbon fibre insert in the sole as the previous generation, giving the boots exceptional lightness and stability.
