Kappa KOMBAT XXV Anniversary Collection: 18 Global Club Kits Unveiled

Twenty-five years after Kappa changed football kit design with the original Kombat silhouette, the brand has now released the full KOMBAT XXV collection. This anniversary line features eighteen shirts worn by clubs across Europe and South America, each built around the same sculpted, aerodynamic shape that made the 2000 original a milestone in sportswear.

The campaign moves beyond the initial wave of retrospectives and collaborations. Instead, it presents a coordinated set of clubs—from Genoa to Nice, Fiorentina to Valladolid, Racing Club to Vasco da Gama—united by architecture rather than colour. Each shirt adapts the KOMBAT frame to its own local identity: Genoa’s deep Ligurian red, Fiorentina’s violet sharpness, Red Star’s monochrome punch, and the ocean blues of Vasco and Nacional da Madeira among them.

Kappa describes this chapter as “opening a new era that elevates the game and redefines what it means to wear Kappa.” The collection uses recycled fibres, is lighter than the original, and retains the tight, minimal fit engineered for motion. It is a design system expressed through context—the same performance-built body interpreted in eighteen ways.
