Design Details and Tributes
The boot is packed with meaningful details. The flames on the heel are directly taken from the 2018 “Rising Fire” boots. The Swoosh with gold accents references the 2019 “Bondy Dreams” boots, named after Mbappé’s birthplace. Another Swoosh features a lightning bolt pattern, recalling the boots he wore in 2020, and the side flames return to the 2021 “Flames” edition.
Two stars on the Flyknit upper allude to the World Cup titles Mbappé has won with France, and the insole includes a special motivational phrase for the player.
This special edition is steeped in history, referencing even other football boot models that many players have worn alongside Mbappé in recent years.
Technical Specifications
On a technical level, the boot features no changes from the previous generation. The Gripknit upper remains, and the Air Zoom plate is present in the sole, providing extra comfort on the pitch and excellent responsiveness. The boot is considered one of the best speed boots currently available.
