La Liga changes its name to LALIGA EA Sports

La Liga has ended its partnership with Santander Bank and officially rebranded as LALIGA EA Sports, a name written in all capital letters. The agreement, valued at around €60 million, also covers the second division, which will now be called LALIGA HYPERMOTION – a reference to the technologies EA Sports uses to deliver a more realistic gaming experience. The league aims to revolutionise how football is consumed, targeting younger audiences through enhanced graphics during matches and other innovations that are set to reshape both Spanish football and the wider industry.

Visual Identity Overhaul

As part of the rebranding, La Liga has introduced a new logo and a fresh colour palette, with coral replacing the previous dark tones. The visual update reflects the league’s ambition to modernise its image and appeal to a new generation of fans.

Broadcast Innovations

Matches will also be presented differently, with new camera angles and shots designed to bring viewers closer to the action. “We want to offer better football to society and a better society to our football,” said Javier Tebas, president of La Liga.
