New adidas X Crazyfast

Adidas has completely overhauled its most widely used silo among professional footballers. Since the arrival of laceless boots, the brand used the “+” symbol to identify its highest-end model, but that naming convention changes today with the launch of the adidas X Crazyfast. From now on, the top‑tier version of the silo features laces, while two .1 models sit below it—one with laces and one without.

adidas X Crazyfast +

The adidas X Crazyfast + is the crown jewel of this revolution. Minimalism is the cornerstone of the entire + philosophy. An ultralight shell that resembles a track spike more than a football boot is what players will find when they put on the latest creation from the Three Stripes. However, such a minimal amount of material can make stability a challenge. To address this, adidas has introduced AEROCAGE technology—an internal structure designed to prevent excessive foot movement inside the boot during high‑speed actions.

SL Laces and Tongue

Another standout area of the new adidas X Crazyfast is the laces and tongue, both designated with the initials SL (Super Light). They are reduced to the absolute minimum in terms of material, helping to lower the boot’s overall weight and reinforcing the sense of lightness and minimalism that adidas aims for with this version.

Sole and Stability Wing

There is not much to report about the outsole of the new adidas X Crazyfast, as it is the only part that remains unchanged from the previous generation. The Stability Wing plays a more important role than ever, given the need for stabilising elements in a boot where the lack of material could otherwise become a problem.

adidas X Crazyfast .1 Versions

For the adidas X Crazyfast .1, two similar models exist, differing only in the presence of laces. The shell, outsole, and technologies are exactly the same, but the instep area features a slight difference. In the laceless model, there is a larger amount of Primeknit, because the fit provided by this material must be stronger and more aggressive without laces.

For the adidas X Crazyfast .1 with laces, the material is identical but used in a smaller quantity. This still delivers the sense of pressure that the X line is known for, while also allowing a far more personalised fit thanks to the ability to adjust the laces freely. The outsole remains absolutely the same as on the + model, with no changes between the two .1 versions.
