New Balance has officially released the Bayer 04 Leverkusen Home Kit for the 2025/26 season, marking the start of a multi-year technical partnership with the Bundesliga club. The first design from the collaboration moves away from traditional striped patterns in favor of a modern, dot-fade aesthetic inspired by a landmark in the city of Leverkusen.
A New Partnership
Leverkusen has changed technical suppliers from Castore to New Balance, following a summer that also saw departures of the head coach and key players. The new home shirt is the first product of this agreement, which covers performance and lifestyle apparel for all club teams—men’s, women’s, youth, esports, and track & field.
Design Inspiration from the Bayer-Kreuz
The design draws directly from the 30-foot neon Bayer-Kreuz cross that stands in the city and has been a symbol of the club for decades. Red vertical lines composed of fading individual dots dissolve into a jet-black base, creating a contemporary silhouette that retains Leverkusen’s signature red-and-black identity.

Kit Details and Aesthetic
All branding elements—the club crest, New Balance logo, player names, and numbers—are rendered in pure red against the black backdrop. The shirt is paired with black shorts and black socks, completing a clean, sharp, and modern look.

Kenny McCallum, Senior Director of New Balance Football Product, said the jersey is “more than just a kit—it’s a statement of intent” and that the brand wanted to capture the club’s essence and supporter energy while pushing boundaries through bold design.
