The collaboration between Neymar Jr. and Michael Jordan brings together Nike’s attacking football boot and the iconic Air Jordan brand. This special edition Hypervenom model combines the style of two sports giants, reflecting Neymar’s trendsetting approach both on and off the pitch.
Design and Inspiration
Neymar Jr.’s popularity continues to grow, and designers have created exclusive models for the FC Barcelona star on several occasions. According to Nike Football Vice President Max Blau, Neymar does not follow trends—he creates them, both in his game and his personal style.
When Neymar first saw the prototype, he requested that Jordan’s number 23 be included on the boot. The number 23 appears on the outside of the right boot, paired with the number 10 on the outside of the left boot. The Air Jordan logo is also present on both heels.
The numbers 23 and 10 are embroidered in red and white, the same colours as the Chicago Bulls. The forked outsole features a spotted pattern that gives the plate an aggressive look.
Technical Details
The boot’s framework material differs from both the first-generation NikeSkin and the second-generation material. It has a flat finish with a textured surface that adds grip across the entire framework.
Availability Information
This model will be available across the different Hypervenom lines. However, the Hypervenom Phantom and Hypervenom Phinish will only be available on June 3rd for 26 hours.
