A few days ago, Nike revived the original Hypervenom in its debut colourway. Now, the brand has released another edition of the iconic silo — the Hypervenom Transform Hydra. Where the previous re-release paid homage to the original model, this new version honours the 2015 Transform series with a modern twist.
Water-Reactive Colour Change Technology
The original Hypervenom Transform used a thermoactive coating that revealed an orange Hypervenom-style pattern when exposed to heat from sunlight or a hot surface. That innovation was revolutionary in 2015. For 2025, the Transform concept returns, but instead of heat, it is water that triggers the colour change.
At first glance, the boot appears completely white. When it comes into contact with water, a Hypervenom-style pattern emerges in a vibrant shade of blue — a direct nod to the original Transform model.
Upper and Outsole Details
The upper is identical to the original Hypervenom Phantom RGN, but the water-reactive material treatment makes it slightly softer than previous colourways. The outsole is the Hyperreactive plate, derived directly from the Hypervenom Phantom 3, providing exceptional traction and comfort.
Release and Availability
This is the latest addition to the Hypervenom range in 2025. The response to the previous re-release gave a strong indication of the ongoing popularity of the silo. The Transform Hydra is expected to generate significant demand, mirroring the excitement of the original transform technology from a decade earlier.
