With the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia just over a month away, Nike unveiled its tournament boot collection under the iconic “Just Do It” motto. This collection is known as the Nike Just Do It Pack.
The boots share a white upper across all four silos — Mercurial, Hypervenom, Magista, and Tiempo. Nike’s intention is to make players wearing these boots easily identifiable on the pitch.
To set each silo apart, color accents appear on the Swoosh outline and the soleplate. The soleplate also features a chrome finish for a more aggressive appearance. The Swoosh on the upper gets a metallic grey effect combined with the silo’s signature color. A final touch is a heel triangle engraved with 32 lines, one for each competing country. Professional players and clients can further personalize this area with their national flag.
Nike Mercurial
The latest generation of Mercurial introduces the most innovative version yet. Both the Superfly and Vapor models use a Flyknit upper with an anti-slip treatment. The ultra-aggressive modular soleplate is designed for maximum traction, benefiting stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr., and Kylian Mbappé.
Nike Hypervenom
Worn by Robert Lewandowski, Harry Kane, and Edinson Cavani, this silo is known for its sturdy upper. Reactive sections are placed on the vamp, giving the Flyknit material a three-dimensional finish and added durability.
Nike Magista
Built for playmakers, the Magista features two upper options: a Flyknit version and one using Kangalite material. Players like Andrés Iniesta, André Gomes, and Sergio Busquets are expected to wear this model during the tournament.
Nike Tiempo
Nike’s classic boot line, Tiempo, uses soft kangaroo leather for the upper, combined with a Flyknit chassis to strike a balance between touch and lightness. Defenders such as Sergio Ramos, Gerard Piqué, and Raphaël Varane will be seen in this silo.
