Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 ‘LVL UP’ Celebrates 20 Years of Mercurial Legacy

The Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 ‘LVL UP’ has been officially released as a unique edition that honors two decades of the Mercurial line. Rather than a signature player release, this boot arrives as a celebration of explosive speed, drawing design cues from some of the boldest Mercurial models of the past ten years.
Design Inspired by Iconic Mercurial Moments
Nike uses a tonal approach for this special edition, incorporating elements previously seen on standout Mercurial boots. The upper features a reflective white-on-white safari print, originally inspired by the Nike Air Safari running shoe from 1987 and first applied to a Mercurial boot in 2010. The heritage of this print is echoed on the black-on-black Swoosh.
Distinctive Multicolor Stripe
A vivid color band wraps the forefoot, flowing from underfoot to the heel. It combines safari, silverware, cheetah, galaxy, gold, and lava-inspired patterns, blended with neon hues, metallics, and volt. The same graphic appears uniformly on the tongue, creating a cohesive look that honors Mercurial’s rich style heritage.
Connection to Cristiano Ronaldo
The color palette of the multicolor stripe was originally intended for a signature Cristiano Ronaldo release. However, due to pending legal issues, Nike shifted direction and released the boot as a general celebration of the Mercurial line. This raises questions about the possibility of future CR7 signature Mercurial releases.
