The new Nike Neighborhood Pack arrives just as Europe’s top leagues prepare to kick off. With the season restart imminent, Nike has reset its approach, bringing a fresh design philosophy and technical updates across its four key silos. This collection blends bold aesthetics with performance enhancements, from lower-profile Mercurials to the latest Phantom, Tiempo, and Mercurial models.
Design Inspiration: The Broken Swoosh and City Codes

The defining visual element of the Neighborhood Pack is the Swoosh itself—presented as if broken, like a bolt of lightning or a distortion caused by speed. Carolyn Davidson’s original symbol of speed and revolution is intentionally warped to match the pack’s high-octane theme. The colourway “Metallic Bomber, Grey, Black & Red” appears across all models, and each boot features the postcode numbers of iconic cities around the world, printed directly on the silos.

Beyond the surface, the design draws inspiration from motorsport. The ankle strap pattern—a purely aesthetic update—mimics the rear wings of racing cars. The collection also introduces a lower profile across the Mercurial range, a deliberate nod to racing car aerodynamics.
Weight Reduction and New Pull Tab on Mercurial
In the Mercurial range, the Elite and Pro versions are lighter than those in previous packs, such as the Future Lab 2 Pack. The new weights are:
- Superfly Elite – 206g
- Superfly Pro – 220g
- Vapor Elite – 196g
- Vapor Pro – 215g
The Mercurial Vapor now includes a pull tab. Initially a visual detail, testers found it makes slipping the boot on significantly easier. Additionally, the boot’s profile is lower than standard production Mercurials, even though Nike originally claimed only the visual impression would change.
Technical Features of the Neighborhood Pack
Nike Phantom Vision II

This latest Phantom Vision II combines Flyknit construction with an internal mesh called “Quadfit,” offering excellent comfort and fit. The upper retains the Phantom essence while improving grip through a new layout of grip elements and a much more minimalist collar. The soleplate remains unchanged, with a semi-conical stud pattern ideal for modern pitches. A boot without flaws.

Nike Phantom Venom

The Phantom Venom features the same crimson and black colourway, giving it an aggressive look. “Precision PWR” technology boosts striking power, reminiscent of 1990s boots. The upper is high-quality synthetic microfibre—favoured by top strikers such as Robert Lewandowski, Edinson Cavani, and Mauro Icardi. A safe bet for finishers.

Nike Tiempo

The classic Tiempo design catches the eye in these colours. Silver detailing runs across the kangaroo leather upper, with accents concentrated at the back. The boot combines traditional kangaroo leather with a synthetic heel counter that reduces weight and improves fit. “Hyperstability” technology ensures stable steps. The quintessential Nike style with standout colours.

Nike Mercurial

The Mercurial—worn by Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappé—looks especially striking in the pack’s colourway. Flyknit construction provides a superior fit, while the aggressive grip supports sprinters in every race. Once again, the Mercurial sits at the top of the football boot rankings.

Final Thoughts
The Neighborhood Pack is a groundbreaking collection that stands out on the pitch. The Mercurial, enhanced by city postcode details and the lowest profile yet, earns a special mention. Which boot is your favourite?
