Nike has unveiled the Victory Pack, a collection of four football boots designed for the 2019 Women’s World Cup. Inspired by the goddess of victory, the pack features hand-sketched wing patterns and a color palette drawn from the Louvre Museum in Paris.
The Boots in the Pack
The Victory Pack includes four models: the Mercurial, PhantomVSN, PhantomVNM, and Tiempo. Each boot receives a hand-sketched wing pattern with sharp geometric angles, intended to represent “multi-faceted players.”
Design and Color Inspiration
The Armory Blue hue is inspired by prismatic light passing through the glass and iron pyramid of the Louvre Museum in Paris, where the iconic Nike sculpture is housed. Hyper Crimson accents add a joyful edge around the Swoosh outline, creating a copper fleck that flashes as the boot moves through light.
A small tab on the tongue of each boot features the classic Nike Futura logo and the words “THE GODDESS OF VICTORY.” The sole plates present a subtle iridescent effect, reminiscent of statues as they age.
Debut and Tournament Presence
The boots will debut on pitch during the final game of the women’s European championship and will be worn across France this summer during the premier women’s global football tournament.
