The Puma Orbita has been unveiled as the official match ball for the 2023/2024 Portuguese League season. Designed to meet the demands of professional football, the ball combines innovative panel geometry with advanced materials to enhance performance, durability, and touch.
Technical Design and Panel Configuration
The Puma Orbita features a unique configuration of 12 large, star-shaped panels. This reduced number of seams, together with cutting-edge construction technology, creates a sphere that maintains its shape effectively while absorbing less water during play.
Enhanced Feel and Consistency
POE foam is used in the ball’s construction to increase sensitivity, providing a firmer touch and greater consistency across all playing conditions.
Surface, Aerodynamics, and Durability
A textured 3D PU surface with a thickness of 1.2 mm improves the ball’s aerodynamics and enhances resistance to abrasion and wear. This results in greater overall durability throughout the season.
Air Retention and Bounce
The ball incorporates a rubber membrane and a PUMA Air Lock (PAL) valve, which improves air retention and ensures consistent bounce over time.
