RC Deportivo 25/26 Third Shirt Celebrates Galician Heritage on Galicia Day

Real Club Deportivo unveiled their 2025/26 third shirt on July 25, Galicia Day, completing the season’s kit collection with a design steeped in regional symbolism. Created by technical partner Kappa, the jersey moves beyond sport to embody Galician identity and cultural pride.

A Palette Shift Toward Symbolism

Unlike the home shirt’s traditional approach and the away kit’s bold reinvention, the new third jersey adopts an off-white base with delicate gold accents. The subtle color change gives the shirt a refined, almost ceremonial feel — a modern relic reimagined for matchday.

Compass Rose Mosaic and Celtic Nations

The design language carries through the season with the reappearance of the Compass Rose mosaic, originally created by A Coruña-born artist Tono Correa Corredoira and also used on the home kit. The emblem evokes Celtic and maritime themes, linking the club to A Coruña and Galicia’s broader Atlantic heritage.

Each point of the Compass Rose features an icon representing a Celtic nation: the scallop for Galicia, shamrock for Ireland, thistle for Scotland, triskele for the Isle of Man, dragon for Wales, chalice for Cornwall, and ermine for Brittany. The circle is completed by the skull of Tarshish, referencing the mythic King of Geryon and local legend.
