Reusch has long been a leading brand in goalkeeper gloves and equipment, consistently releasing innovative products that influence the entire market. This year continues that tradition with the launch of the new Reusch Attrakt collection, which closes out 2020 while setting the stage for 2021. With the delayed EURO tournament finally on the calendar, the brand expects its gloves to gain significant visibility on the international stage.
Reusch Attrakt Collection Overview
The Attrakt collection is not a single glove but a full lineup, offering goalkeepers a wide variety of styles to suit different preferences and playing conditions. While the range of options allows players to find the perfect fit for their needs, it can also make the selection process slightly more challenging.
Design and Colorway
As is typical for the German brand, the Attrakt gloves avoid overly aggressive or flashy designs. Instead, they focus on a classic aesthetic and functional performance. The dominant colour is blue, covering both the backhand and palm of most models. White “Reusch” lettering and red or white accents for the new collection logo add subtle detailing. Some red models feature a blue palm, optimized for wet pitch conditions.
Key Features and Innovations
Compared to previous generations, the Attrakt gloves are noticeably lighter and offer a more snug fit. This is achieved through breathable neoprene on the backhand. Gel inserts are included to aid fist clearances, while the model worn by Hugo Lloris replaces the gel with latex over the neoprene for a slightly cushioned feel.
The real breakthrough is the new Grip Fusion latex used on the palm. This compound is designed to deliver superior grip in all weather conditions—rain, snow, heat, or cold—and has been approved by some of the world’s top goalkeepers. The gloves also feature Reusch’s classic cut, a combination of hybrid and negative cuts.
Professional Endorsements
Two of Reusch’s top ambassadors play in Serie A: Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny and Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini. Both have been wearing the new Attrakt gloves for several weeks. Gollini notably saved a penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo while using them.
