Home Kit: “Ready for the Comeback”
Benfica’s new home jersey features an orange-red shade, a significant departure from the club’s traditional red. The three adidas stripes, sponsor logo, and club crest appear in a darker tone, while the word “adidas” and certain elements of the Benfica crest are rendered in gold – a nod to the club’s titles and achievements.
This revolutionary colour scheme has drawn criticism from more traditionalist fans, who feel it breaks with Benfica’s identity. The kit is launched under the slogan “Ready for the comeback” and will be worn for the first time in the Taça de Portugal final.
Away Kit: “Ready for the Glory”
The new away kit adopts an all-black design with silver detailing. Its launch slogan is “Ready for the Glory”.
Notably, the usual white stripes are absent from both kits for the coming season – a change that has also attracted criticism from some sections of the fanbase. The release of the jerseys is part of adidas’ global campaign, “Ready For Sport”.
