Benfica and adidas have renewed their long-standing partnership for another six years. The German brand and the Lisbon club unveiled the new official kits for the 2021–22 season, highlighting shared values of commitment, innovation, and excellence.
A red scarf bearing the Benfica crest is also part of the new collection.
New official SL Benfica 2021/22 kits
One of the most striking features of this season’s jerseys is the club’s founding year, 1904, printed on the back of both kits. The home jersey retains the traditional red colour, while the away kit returns to white with red detailing and a black crest, evoking a classic design from the early 1990s.
The Estádio da Luz provided the backdrop for the kit launch, which brought together players from both the first team and the reserve team, including representatives of the club’s present and future.
Pizzi, one of Benfica’s captains, praised both the red and white jerseys, singling out the 1904 detail on the back as a favourite feature. He expressed hope that the kit would bring joy and victories to the fans.
Paulo Bernardo, a young player who came through the ranks at Benfica Campus, also took part in the launch event at the Estádio da Luz.
Bernardo stated that he likes both jerseys and finds the 1904 detail striking, adding that the colours are very appealing.
A replica T-shirt of the home jersey is also available for supporters.
