The Trefoil Returns to the World Cup as adidas Reveals 2026 Federation Away Kits

adidas has unveiled the official away kits for all its partner federations, including 13 nations qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Following the same approach used for the home kits in November, the iconic Trefoil appears across the entire range — marking its return to the World Cup for the first time in 36 years. The jerseys are inspired by each nation’s character and culture, blending classic adidas World Cup design cues with modern looks.

Sam Handy, GM Football at adidas, noted that bringing the trefoil back to the biggest stage felt fitting for a defining era of football culture. Each jersey pays homage to the country while offering designs that transcend the pitch and the stands.

An all-over pattern in light blue, pink and white pays tribute to Belgian surrealist René Magritte. Layered lines and shapes nod to his work, with elements of the nation’s crest and football symbols. A subtle detail inside the neck reads “Ceci n’est pas un maillot” (“This is not a jersey”).

CHILE
