Design Inspiration: The Emprendada and Ibizan Peasant Dress
The shirt’s custom pattern is inspired by the Ibizan emprendada — a striking combination of chains, rings, and golden necklaces — as well as the region’s historic peasant attire. Each symbol is either taken directly from traditional emprendada designs or reimagined with UD Ibiza’s own identity, embedding the club’s initials, founding year, and 10th-anniversary marks into the visual language. The layered motifs mirror the overlapping jewelry of the traditional outfit, creating depth and a distinctive edge.
The ‘X’ Motif on the Back
A bold Roman numeral ‘X’ sits on the back of the shirt, a direct nod to the milestone decade. One arm of the X is formed from a section of the ornate Ibiza necklaces, cleverly tying the design back to its roots. The result is a detail that reinforces the shirt’s storytelling purpose.
